Blanket Specifications
The best way you can help the children is by making a blanket and donating it.
The Linus Connection hand on your blanket to a facility where it will be given to a deserving child to keep. We've been distributing blankets for many years now and have gotten a lot of feedback from the facilities that receive our donations which helps us to better know what size and types of blankets are needed.- Suggested materials:
- cotton quilting fabric
- cotton batting for quilts
- acrylic yarn for crocheted or knitted blankets
- General information:
- French binding is preferred, as it is more durable and will last longer than "quick turn" and other binding methods
- quilts should be machine quilted or hand tied
- blankets should be durable and made in child-friendly colors/patterns*
- blanket supplies are available at our monthly meetings
- Please check for pins before turning your quilt in
- Labels:
- the sew-on tag should be attached on the back side near one of the bottom corners and can be hand-whipped or machine sewn
- paper labels should be pinned to quilts 5" in and 5" up from the back bottom corner of the quilt
- paper labels should be TIED to all crocheted or knitted blankets to prevent damage

Size ranges from 24"x24" (preemie) up to twin sized for Teens
- Baby blankets up to 2 years old
- Toddler blankets for 3-6 years old
- "Middle" blankets for 7-12 years old
- Teen blankets for 13-18 years old
