Linus Events

The Mission of the Linus Connection is to provide a handmade security blanket to every child who is in a crisis or at-risk situation in Central Texas.

Monthly Meeting & Blanket Day

The Linus Connection hosts a monthly blanket day on the third Saturday of each month to collect and prepare donated blankets for children in crisis in Central Texas.

All blankets are donated by volunteers like you. They are sewn, quilted, hand tied, crocheted or knitted.

Volunteers Sewing on Labels

There are many activities taking place on this day including blanket collection, labelling and sorting for distribution, Announcements, Show & Tell and Demonstrations (quilt techniques, crochet, knitting, etc.). Materials for your next Linus project are available, too.

Blankets Collected in April 2006

The blankets are donated to local organizations caring for children in crisis, including the Williamson County Crisis Center, Foster Care/Protective Services, Grief Support, Medical Facilities/Hospitals, and Victim Assistance. See our full recipient list here.

Come and help us help the children. Join us for coffee and snacks and a satisfying morning of volunteerism. All experience levels welcome! If you've already finished a blanket you'd like to donate, this is a great day to do it! Come ready to enjoy yourself, make lots of new friends and be inspired by all the wonderful blankets!

NEW at monthly meetings: Show & Tell at 10 o'clock, immediately followed by Demonstrations.

Think you might forget to come? Join our Yahoo! Group (it's free!) and get a monthly reminder.
